Fawn Mckay
Fawn McKay was born 15 September 1915 in Ogden, Utah. Fawn MCKAY, born into the Mormon Church's First Family, used her literary talent and skills in researching to produce an intriguing psycho-historical biography of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name No Man has My History, she used both. The title came from a funeral sermon given by the founder of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844. He shocked his listeners by declaring"You're not my friend, and you've never known my heart. No man knows my history. It's impossible for me to reveal it. Fawn 29, a woman of 29 years old, wrote: "Since that moment of honesty at least three scores writers have risen to the challenge." Many have deified and even abused his character, whereas others attempt to identify the issue. There's nothing wrong with it. It's not the case that there's not enough documentation but they're rather divergent. It is up to us to separate the original account from the third hand plagiarism and to blend Mormon narratives with non-Mormons in the context of a credible historical narrative. This is both exciting and instructive. Fawn brodie devoted herself professionally to this task. Her writing and research brought her international fame: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of the South Thomas Jefferson. A Personal History of Richard Nixon (1974), in posthumously.
