Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay, who was born September 15, 1915, was raised within Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay was a Mormon member of the Church Latter-Day Saints' first family has fused her amazing writing skills with her impressive researching skills to create the incredible psychohistorical autobiography of the author, No Man Knows My History, which was published in 1945. The title came from a funeral speech delivered by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled his listeners by declaring"You don't even know me." You've never met my heart. My past is not known by anybody. It's impossible for me to share it with you. Fawn, a 29-year-old woman has written: "Since that moment of candor, at least three authors have taken up the challenge." A few have attempted to glorify him or godlike, while some have said he's lying. A few even attempted a clinical diagnosis. The problem is that these documents are not real. They're just inconsistent. It's not an easy task to put these pieces together as well as separate the first-hand versions from the third-hand versions and put Mormon and non Mormon stories into one coherent piece. It's both thrilling and instructive. This is the kind of task to which Fawn Brodie put her professional energy into. Her research and writings brought her fame around the world: Thaddeus Stephens. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The Southern The Story of Sir Richard Burton (1967) Thomas Jefferson. An intimate The Story of Thomas Jefferson (1974) as well as posthumously Richard Nixon.
