Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer who is regarded as a member of the band One Direction. The father of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born February 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. There, along with three schoolmates, he formed his own group, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009, thanks to their outstanding performances. The musician was always fascinated by the arts, however he also wished to work as a lawyer, physiotherapist or even a scout. To support the family he took some time at a bakery. Harry Styles, in 2010 was a contestant on The X Factor. His song Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. The group were forced to split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first formed in 2010. The group played songs, such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls to be the winner. However, they came in third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell were not able to take home the prize. But Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
